ROLL PROTECTION
The primary function of roll protection is to achieve substantial reduction in bodyshell deformation and hence reduce the risk of serious injury during competition. The ability of a roll protection structure to provide protection is dependent upon the quality of design and construction. A secondary benefit from the installation of roll protection is improved chassis rigidity.
Herbert Fabrication and Engineering are specialist body shell and race car fabricators including fully integral roll cages utilising sophisticated steel alloys such as aircraft quality chromemolly 4130 tube. (Group A rally car under construction)
Handling characteristics are improved through chassis rigidity.
Roll cages can be built into completed cars without damage to existing work or interior (Porche 911 circuit car)
